SG Energy Solutions Group are seeking skilled Electricians, a great opportunity for individuals that are positive, highly motivated, organized, good decision-makers, and self-starters. In addition to competitive wages, per diem and travel pay are also included. Operation Team Members are responsible for providing electrical assistance in a team environment, ensuring successful daily field operation execution, safety training and daily field reporting back to SG’s Corporate office, located in Southfield, MI. Job Responsibilities

  • The successful candidate will work closely with the Sr. Project Manager, to implement processes, systems, budgets and safety procedures that will deliver company growth.

  • Understand the use of hand and power tools to do electrical repair work.

  • Must use proper grounding techniques.

  • Must have a basic understanding of how to read and understand schematics.

  • Must perform proper and safe cable routing.

  • Will be required to complete all training, including Arc Flash and Basic Electrical Safety Training, as provided.

  • Must be able to determine the appropriate level of PPE needed for a specific assigned task.

  • Must be able to properly use various testers, such as multimeters, meggers, oscilloscope, along with other hand tools to complete a job.

  • Be able to exercise the proper use of wiring techniques for 12 volt DC, 24 volt DC, 120 volt DC, 120 volt AC, 240 volt AC, 480 volt AC, 600 volt AC and 13.8 kV single and three-phase.

  • Help Turbine Techs on rig in/out of the Turbines.

  • Assist Turbine techs and begin learning about the turbine and related equipment.

  • Must properly use ladders and safety harnesses

  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including 14 days on duty and 7 days off duty however, schedule is subject to change and fluctuate due to company needs.

  • Must have industrial and/or power plant experience.

  • Willingness to work on day off if needed

  • Ability to obtain TWIC card, if necessary.

  • Subject to pre-employment drug testing.

  • Willingness to travel out of state and internationally as necessary.

  • Be able to obtain passport for international projects (passport fees may be reimbursable).

  • Schedules include working day shift, night shift, weekends, holidays, etc.

  • Must have a smartphone to be able to utilize when needed and be available when contacted.

  • Education and/or Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Effective oral and written communication

  • Able to speak clearly in English to be easily understood.

  • Must possess a Journeyman Electrician License issued by the state. In the absence of a license and/or minimum number of hours required by the State in either electrical work or classroom instruction to obtain the license.

  • 1-2 years' experience in Electrical field with knowledge of A/C power and A/C motors.

  • Basic knowledge of frac equipment

  • Is a team player positive, well-organized, proactive force to support profit and growth of the company

  • Is courteous and cordial to our customers

  • Ensures that the Company's best interests are represented, including profitability, cost control and safety

    Journeyman Electrical License (Required)
    Driver's License (Preferred)

  • Willingness to travel:
    100% (Required)
