Sales Director

The Director of Sales leads the sales function and is responsible for meeting annual sales objectives across the U.S. and within assigned regions and accounts. Duties include managing the sales team, working with leadership to design strategic sales plans, and assessing costs and competition. In addition to being an excellent communicator, our ideal candidate will also demonstrate exceptional negotiation and leadership skills.
Job Responsibilities
• Leading and motivating staff to provide exceptional customer service to external and internal customers
• Designing and implementing strategic plans to reach sales targets
• Cultivating client relationships to grow customer loyalty
• Developing and promoting weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales objectives
• Producing detailed and accurate sales reports
• Partnering with customers to better understand their business needs and goals
• Assessing costs, competition, and supply and demand to identify selling prices
• Estimating sales volume and profit for current and new products
• Establishing a sales training program to train new sales team members
• Working with SG Operations team to assess company performance and identify opportunities
• Other duties as assigned by the COO
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration or a related field, OR
· Comparable record of sales leadership experience required
· At least 5 years of sales experience required
· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Salesforce
· In-depth knowledge of sales and marketing techniques and best practices
· Capacity to manage various projects and work to tight deadlines
· Excellent sales and customer service skills with proven negotiation skills
· Strong leadership skills
· Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
